“Fejltrin”, which is Danish for “misstep”, is the name of a large folk dance group in Copenhagen. We meet every Wednesday evening within easy walking distance of Nørreport or Østerport Station. We dance primarily Danish folk dance, with a smattering of Swedish and German dances, and always to live music. No prior background is necessary, as all dances are taught and we begin the year expecting zero knowledge.
Fejltrin is about more than just dancing - we have weekend cabin trips, coffee evenings, and hikes; and after each dance session we have a “10th inning” at a nearby pub. Joining Fejltrin is a great way to encounter the Danish folk dance tradition, to meet both Danes and fellow international members, and to have a lot of fun!
